About the artist

Christian Moeller is a pioneering German-American artist known for blending technology, architecture, and art. With a background in architecture from the College of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Moeller began his career exploring the interactions between sound, light, and media in the 1990s. His innovative installations, such as the Kinetic Light Sculpture and Electro Clips, gained international acclaim for merging digital media with physical space. In 2001, Moeller moved to the U.S., joining UCLA's Design Media Arts department, where he continues to teach while producing monumental public artworks. His sculptures, including Stix in Nashville and Hands in San Jose, are celebrated for their playful, interactive nature and thought-provoking designs. Today, Moeller operates his studio in Los Angeles, where he continues to push the boundaries of public art​
