DAAS is a contemporary artist whose bold, dynamic paintings and murals have earned him international acclaim. Based in Austin, Texas,  but working globally, he blends abstract and representational imagery in a vivid and striking color palette. His bold shapes and organic forms create immersive environments that engage viewers with their surroundings.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, DAAS's interest in art began at an early age, inspired by his mother’s sketches and encouragement. In the late '90s, while assisting with large-scale murals along the US East Coast, he developed an appreciation for public art’s transformative power.

In 2006, he moved to Osaka, Japan, to work for Universal Studios, immersing himself in Japanese culture and drawing inspiration from origami, neon colors, and nature. This experience was pivotal in developing his unique style.

Since returning to the US in 2016, DAAS has focused on large-scale murals on public structures like parking garages, water tanks, and municipal buildings. His murals and paintings explore themes of nature and connectivity, aiming to engage the public in a positive, lasting, and meaningful way.
